The Developing Fractions Sense A program, intended for Grade 3 students, does not assume any prior work with fractions. Using fraction blocks, rectangular grids, and the number line, students develop a strong conceptual understanding of the meaning of a fraction, thereby acquiring a foundation for more advanced work with fractions.
