Learn a sense making approach to fraction multiplication

The Developing Fractions Sense Student Workbook C consists of 46 lessons, each focusing on one concept related to the 5th grade Common Core Math fractions standards.  Concepts are introduced concretely or visually prior to presenting students with arithmetic approaches. Each lesson begins with an instructional component and is followed by a set of exercises. Students learn various strategies for adding and subtracting fractions with different denominators.

A major focus of the program is fraction multiplication using concrete, visual and abstract approaches. Students differentiate between the multiplier and the multiplicand and develop an intuitive notion of fraction multiplication.
